Est. in 1981 the fig tree restaurant is one of Australia’s longest running and well respected restaurants.

It has an unsurpassed reputation for innovative cuisine, friendly service and luxurious accommodation in a breathtaking setting.

The restaurant is an historic Australian farmhouse set overlooking its 5 acres of bio-dynamic farmland, Julian rocks and unrivalled views to Byron Bay itself. The ideal setting for discerning tastes.

Herb gardens, slate pool and modern landscaping all play second fiddle to the magnificent 120 year old fig tree that holds pride of place and the estate is so named after.

Heather and Charly Devlin established the fig tree in 1981, receiving numerous industry awards and setting the bench mark for quality restaurants in the far north coast.

Son's Jules & Che have now taken over the helm at the fig tree bringing with them tastes and tales after their 8 years of world culinary travels and over 20 years combined industry experience.

The philosophy at the fig tree remains the same “local produce, global flavour, cook and served with care.”
